  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, goggles, and a lab coat.
  • Handle in a well-ventilated area to minimize the risk of inhaling fumes.
  • Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention if irritation persists.

Storage Guidelines

  • Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Keep the container tightly sealed when not in use.
  • Ensure the storage area is equipped with spill containment measures.

Emergency Measures

  • Spill Response: Contain spills with absorbent material and dispose of it following local hazardous waste regulations.
  • First Aid: If inhaled, move the affected person to fresh air immediately. If ingested, do not induce vomiting; seek medical attention promptly.

  • Store in a secure, temperature-controlled environment.
  • Keep out of reach of unauthorized personnel and ensure the container is leak-proof.
  • Maintain records for inventory and usage in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Emergency Measures

  • Spill Response: Evacuate the area immediately, ventilate the space, and use appropriate spill kits designed for mercury containment.
  • First Aid: For skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water. For inhalation, move to fresh air and seek medical attention immediately.

  • Wear PPE including chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles, and a lab coat.

Storage Guidelines

  • Store in sealed, break-resistant containers in a designated chemical storage area.
  • Keep away from oxidizing agents, acids, and halogens.
  • Maintain a mercury spill kit in the storage area at all times.

Emergency Measures

  • Spill Response: Isolate the area, ventilate, and collect mercury droplets using a mercury spill kit. Do NOT vacuum.
  • First Aid: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with soap and water for 15 minutes. Seek medical attention for any exposure.
